All Your Team Needs!
Eric founded Valley Athletics during the 2009 recession with a 50 page business plan and some financial help from his friends: Jason Lunceford, Brian Lambert, and Noah Speer. With the help of his friends funding, Eric created Valley Athletics to provide top tier infield soil, infield conditioner, and infield amendments to the Pacific Northwest during the region's wet season. In 2015, with new turf facilities ravaging the infield industry, he pivoted the company in a different direction and started selling uniforms, hats, field paint and equipment to truly make Valley Athletics a one stop shop for teams.
Eric has been married to his beautiful wife, Rebecca since 2017. Eric and Rebecca have one adopted son named Michael.
Eric is a huge sports fan. He played three different college sports; football, wrestling, and baseball. He was a well rounded baseball player and he started on his college team. This is why baseball is his first love. He believes that Tony Gwynn is the greatest pure hitter of all time, Greg Maddux is the great pitcher of all time, and that Mark McGuire is the greatest power hitter of all time. He currently is the Head Baseball Coach for Sandy High School in Sandy, Oregon. He is passionate about molding young people into young adults. He truly loves coaching, and has remained a fan of all sports.
Brian grew up playing baseball, football, and basketball and has continued his love of sports with his career at Valley Athletics. He attended Portland State University and majored in Computer Engineering. Brian spent some time as an Assistant Head Coach for the baseball team at Parkrose High School where he had the chance to impart his knowledge and passion for baseball to kids there. He is a lifelong fan of the San Francisco 49ers.

As a result, he was named Marketing Man of the Year for Minor League Baseball.
Following his time with the Waves, Chris became the Vice President of Sales for Sports Management Worldwide, an online sports marketing company in Portland geared to help people find employment in sports. After five years of leading SMWW to continuous record-setting enrollment numbers, he was ready for a new challenge. He will always have a passion for sports and hopes to pass that along to his children and help kids learn to love their chosen sport as well.
