Meeting NCAA Backstop Padding Requirements
Starting in 2027, NCAA Rule 2.15 requires all baseball and softball venues to pad every hard surface a player could collide with, including backstops, outfield walls, sideline fences, and dugout rails. The rule mandates a minimum of 2-inch ASTM F2440 foam, with 3 inches recommended for backstops and outfield walls. Valley Athletics’ Backstop Padding wall pads are warrantied completely against manufacturing defects for one year. Such defects include, but are not limited to, holes or other defects in the covering fabric, tacking of pads, or incorrect size. Warranty is prorated.
Manufacturing defects would be apparent before or shortly after the product is used and must be delineated to the manufacturer at that time. Digital pictures showing defect are required. Upon verification of the defect, manufacturer will either repair product to customer’s satisfaction, replace, or issue full or partial credit.
Manufacturer reserves the right to make final judgment on the stated options. Freight charges for product replacement are not included under warranty. Warranty applies under conditions of normal use, but does not apply to problems resulting from unreasonable use, mishandling, negligence, improper installation or intentional damage.
